Alif Laila is a disciple of Ustad Mir Qasem Khan, nephew of the legendary maestro, Ustad Alauddin Khan (Founder of the Senia Maihar Gharana). She further continued to learn from Pandits - Partha Chatterjee, Krishna Bhatt and Kushal Das.

She has recorded and performed with eminent tabla artists, such as ,Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, Ustad Tari Khan. She has performed internationally in ‘Music For Peace’ at UNESCO, Paris, ‘Women In Music Festival’, London, Bengal Foundation Music Festival, Dhaka, Hindu University, Benares, etc.
She received the Individual Artist Award from Maryland State Arts Council in 2015 and is featured in the Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster.
Laila has a BA in Fine Arts from Dhaka University. Her quest for creativity has resulted in many interdisciplinary collaborations with jazz, dance & art. Her new CD, Ekavali (The Connecting Thread) with sitar/world melodies/world percussion, symbolizes the unity of humanity. Abir Hossain began under the tutelage of sarod maestro Padma Bhushan Pandit Buddhadev Das Gupta of the Seni-Shajahanpur Gharana, a combination of two renowned Gharanas: Sheniya Gharana (Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan, Ustad Amzad Ali Khan) and Shahjahanpur Gharana (Ustad Md. Amir Khan, Pandit Radhika Mohan Moitro). He also came under the guidance of Padma Sri Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty of Patiala Gharana.

Abir is a regular artist of “All India Radio” & “Doordarshan” and has performed in music festivals and conferences at several venues including Kolkata The Dover Lane Music Conference, Sangeet Natak Academy Patna, Saptak (Ahmedabad), Swar Mungesh Organisation (Goa), ITC Sangeet Sammelan, Dharwad Music Festival, Bengal Foundation (Dhaka, Bangladesh), Europe, and Thailand. He is a performer and teacher at the “ITC Sangeet Research Academy.” www.itcsra.org Recently he was awarded by “Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purskar" in the field of Hindustani Instrumental Music (Sarod) by Sangeet Natak Academy.

Anirudh Changkakoti studied tabla under Dr. Narendra Verma (a disciple of Ustad Allah Rakha) and with Ustad Zakir Hussain. He has won numerous awards and has performed at the Kennedy Center and in various venues in the US, Canada, and on national television in India.
